Danville – A Hendricks County jury has found Kyle Braun guilty of Attempted Murder and Battery by Bodily Waste following a one-day trial stemming from a brutal 2023 attack on his mother in Brownsburg.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Braun attacked his mother inside her home on April 24, 2023, stabbing her multiple times and leaving a knife embedded in her head. Despite suffering catastrophic injuries, she survived.
Braun fled the home and was later found by officers near a wooded area by a pool house. During the subsequent investigation and medical treatment, prosecutors said Braun also intentionally spit on an EMT.
“Kyle Braun tried to murder his own mother,” Hendricks County Prosecutor Loren Delp said. “She survived—and today, a Hendricks County jury made sure he did not walk away from justice.”
Delp personally prosecuted the case for the State of Indiana.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 8, 2026.
