Brownsburg Fire Territory crews were dispatched to a residential fire at 4:51 a.m. on Fairfield Drive. Firefighters brought the fire under control shortly after arrival. The fire crews found the body of a man dead inside the home.
The Hendricks County Corner identified the deceased as Jeffrey Ransom 49.
The corner has scheduled an autopsy Thursday afternoon to determine the cause of death.
The Brownsburg Police Department does not suspect foul play.
