Brownsburg Farmers Market Starts June 7

Shoppers will enjoy locally grown produce, eggs and meat, artisan baked goods, handcrafted items and more when the Brownsburg Farmers Market presented by IU Health West Hospital returns to the Town Hall Green this summer. The market is open 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, June 7 through September 6.

More than 50 vendors that are local growers, producers, bakers, and artisans will be available at the market weekly, in addition to food trucks and live music.

The opening market on June 7 will feature a strawberry shortcake sale hosted by the Brownsburg Kiwanis Club, benefiting local youth programs. Musician Emily Ann Thompson will be performing live with her fiddle and plays a range of tunes including traditional Irish and Scottish melodies. Food trucks offering concessions include Brozinni’s Pizzeria New York style slices and garlic knuckles, Hoosier Roots Catering locally-sourced gourmet sandwiches and BoxBurger made-to-order burgers and fries.

Children can enjoy the POP (Power of Produce) Kids Club activities organized by the Brownsburg Public Library. Each week while school is out for the summer the POP Club tent will offer fun activities designed to connect kids with fresh food and their health.

The Brownsburg Farmers Market is WIC and SNAP certified. Families who receive WIC nutrition program or SNAP benefits can purchase healthy and locally-produced fresh items with their vouchers. Fresh Bucks allows SNAP participants to double their benefits up to $20 on fresh produce at the market.
