Brownsburg, Indiana (March 29, 2023)
At approximately 7:13 pm: Officers of the Brownsburg Police Department responded to the 500 Block of Pitt Road in reference to a vehicle into a pond. Upon arrival, personnel from the Brownsburg Fire Territory conducted a recovery of the driver who was the sole occupant within the vehicle. The driver, who has been identified as Kevin Turner(56) (Danville) was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that Turner was traveling west bound on Interstate 74 between the hours of 2:45p—3:30p on the date of the accident (March 29). For reasons unknown at this time, Turner’s vehicle left the south side of roadway (I-74) at approximately the 67-mile marker, (West of Ronald Reagan Parkway) and traveled into the median. Turner’s vehicle then stuck and traveled along the median cable barrier for approximately 1/4 mile. Just cast of the 56″ Street bridge, Turner’s vehicle crossed both lanes of travel (I-74) and left the north side of the roadway. Turner’s vehicle traveled through a fence and ultimately entered the pond.
Turner’s vehicle has been identified as a Red 1993 Honda Civic 2 door coupe.

The Brownsburg Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to identify any potential witnesses that may have been in the area between 2:45p — 3:30p (March 29) and observed the accident.
