Brian Jessen Resigns as Ward 3 Councilman

On January 26, Brian Jessen sent the following letter to Travis Tschaenn President of the Brownsburg Town Council:

Mr. President:

Due to personal reasons, I hereby submit my resignation to the Council Ward 3 seat, effective immediately.

I am thankful to the people of Brownsburg for bestowing their trust in me over the past 7+ years.

Serving this community has truly been one of the honors of my life and I am forever grateful.

While there are many rumors why Brian took this action, no additional information has been released to the public.

The Republican Party has scheduled a caucus for February 20th, 2023 6:30 pm at Eaton Hall (61 North Green Street, Brownsburg) to select a candidate to fill the remainder of Brian Jessen’s term.  At present, Brett Scowden and Mark Tieken have filed as candidates to serve the residents of Ward 3.

Mr. Jessen has reached out to this publication stating he wants to meet to describe reasons for his resignation “in his own words“. But after numerous exchanges Brian has yet to commit to a meeting date.  We intended to include his information in this story however, we feel we can no longer withhold publishing his actions to the public at large.

Another news article will be written detailing Brian’s reasons following the meeting.
