Official Resignation Letter to the Brownsburg Town Council
August 18, 2021 8:33:26pm
All,
This email will serve as my resignation from the Brownsburg Ward 2 Council Seat. This has been the most trying time in my families life. I hope you all know I did the best job I knew how to do for the people of Brownsburg. I will miss working with all of you. It’s distressing there seem to be some in the community relishing in this embarrassing time for my family.
I wish you all the best and the continued success of Brownsburg.
Respectfully,
Jeff Gracey
Brownsburg Town Councilman, Ward 2

Brownsburg Town Councilman Jeff Graceyยท
By now most of you know the situation that I, and my family are in. I have submitted my resignation as the Town Council Representative for Ward 2. I apologize to the Community. You placed your trust in me and I have failed to live up to the expectations entrusted to me. My personal failures are not, and should not be, a reflection of our Town.
I hope all of you know for the brief time I served our Town I always tried to do the best job I could for Brownsburg. I’ve truly been honored to work with all the dedicated people that make this Town what it is; my former colleagues on the Council, and all the men and women that show up everyday to keep the Town moving forward. For what it’s worth, I believe the Town has made great strides. Your ongoing Council Members are committed to quality, sustainable growth.
If I may, I would ask…..my family is not responsible for what has happened to them. I know some in Brownsburg relish in my embarrassment but my wife and children are innocents in this. Please consider them in your reaction.
I hope for nothing but the best for your and yours.
