BROWNSBURG – The Brownsburg Town Council restored Councilman Glenn Adams full access to Brownsburg Town facilities today, removing his earlier building access restrictions.  Council members stressed the earlier restrictions in no way prevented him attending council meetings only his access to facilities outside of that time.

In order to eliminate any confusion, the town council will consider a resolution during its upcoming meeting Thursday 22nd titled #2026-03- A Resolution of the Brownsburg Town Council Adopting Policies for use of Public Property, Key and Key Fob use, and designating the Town Council Spokespersons.

The Use of Public Property Policy resolution under consideration outlines strict guidelines on how public property, including town funds, real estate, buildings, equipment, and labor, can be used. The primary goal of the policy is to ensure that town resources are used only for official, public purposes and not for personal gain.

This policy aims to ensure transparency and security, it reinforces accountability and ethical conduct, it helps maintain public trust in how town resources are managed and protects against conflicts of interest.

If adopted, each council member must sign a document acknowledging their understanding of and compliance with the policy. It also states unauthorized use of keys and fobs will lead to disciplinary actions up to and including revocation of facility access privileges.

In a separate section the council also formally designated its President or Vice President as their official spokesperson.

A majority vote by the five council members is required for resolution adoption.
