Brownsburg Fire Territory Ambulance Accident – 

On Sunday, January 11th at approximately 5 a.m., A Brownsburg Fire Territory ambulance was returning to its station after completing a call for service. Road conditions at the time were extremely hazardous, with ice covering the roads.  The rural roads had yet to be treated by the county highway department.

While traveling on 550 E, the ambulance lost control after encountering icy conditions, struck a guardrail, and overturned into a creek. There was no patient in the ambulance at the time of the incident.

A full response from Brownsburg Fire Territory units was initiated. The two crew members in the ambulance were safely extricated from the vehicle using a ladder and were transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure, per protocol. Both crew members are reported to be in good condition.
