Gabriel Garner of Avon

May 9th, 2025 – Brownsburg
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Brownsburg Police Department (BPD) Detectives arrested 22-year-old, Gabriel Garner of Avon, for Forty-three (43) Felony counts of Child Molest, Child Exploitation, Vicarious Sexual Gratification and Possession of Child Pornography, stemming from an investigation that began in April 2025.

Background Of The Investigation:

In April 2025, Brownsburg Detectives began an investigation into Garner due to a report made to Indiana Department and Child Services (DCS) that was filed by an employee of the daycare alleging that Garner had engaged in sexual acts with one of the children.

That child had disclosed to their parents in November 2024, who then immediately reported it to the daycare owner and Director at the time of disclosure. This incident was reviewed by the owner, Nancy Minton, and Director, Jennyfer Lingbeck, but never reported to DCS and/or Law Enforcement.

In this DCS report, the employee added that there were two (2) other incidents that were never reported to DCS and/or Law Enforcement, one of which a child made accusations against Garner for inappropriate behaviors. The timeline of the reported events dated back to April 2024 through April 2025.

On April 29th, 2025, BPD Detectives interviewed Garner and served a search warrant to seize and forensically search his cellular phone.

On May 5th, 2025, BPD Detectives began reviewing the extracted forensic data that was seized from Garner’s cellular phone and discovered approximately 130 images that had GPS coordinates of Main Street University 4 Kidz (325 E. Main St., Brownsburg). From those images, Detectives identified six (6) total child victims of exploitation. There was evidence that Garner was taking photos and/or videos of him engaging in sexual acts with some children under his care.

On May 6th, 2025, BPD Detectives, in conjunction with Avon Police Department and Pittsboro Police Department Detectives, served simultaneous search warrants at Garner’s Avon residence and the Main Street University 4 Kidz, while Garner was taken into custody and interviewed.

During the interview, Garner was presented evidence of the Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM) that was forensically discovered on his cellular phone. Garner then cooperated with Detectives and identified the child victims contained in the CSAM evidence. All victims ages range from approximately three (3) years of age to five (5) years of age.

Garner was arrested, booked into the Hendricks County Jail, and charged with the following:

(1) Level 1 Felony count for Child Molest
(30) Level 4 Felony counts for Child Exploitation
(10) Level 4 Felony counts for Child Molest
(1) Level 4 Felony counts for Vicarious Sexual Gratification
(1) Level 5 Felony count for Possession of Child Pornography

This large-scale, complex investigation remains active. Detectives will continue to collaborate with the Hendricks County Prosecutor’s Office, DCS, Child Advocacy Center Susie’s Place, and Indiana State Police as they continue to sift through massive amounts of forensic data and other items of evidence.

Undoubtedly, and very understandably, many parents whose children attend and/or attended Main Street University 4 Kidz are stressed and fearful as to the unknown. Many are concerned that their child is and/or was a victim. Therefore, BPD Detectives want to provide the following information in effort to ease some concerns that their respective child may have been a victim:

  1. Detectives have already identified and contacted the known victims that Garner has been charged with.
  2. To serve as a timeframe reference for parents, Garner had been an employee of Main Street University 4 Kidz since February 2021 and had resigned in April of this year.

The BPD investigative team encourages anyone with concerns that their child was a victim to please report to the following:

  1. Brownsburg Criminal Investigations Unit: 317-852-1109 extension 2123
