Main Street To Reopen April 21st –
The Town of Brownsburg announced that Main Street will officially reopen to traffic on Monday, April 21, marking the completion of a significant infrastructure improvement project in the heart of downtown.
Brownsburg’s downtown was home to some of the oldest utility lines in town, including aging brick sewers. As part of this project, the Town worked to enhance and replace critical sections of the drinking water system along Main Street and College Avenue. In addition to upgrading water lines, the improvements included the installation of a new storm-water system and enhancements to the sanitary sewer system. These critical upgrades were essential to ensure long-term reliability of the town’s infrastructure.
In their announcement the Town thanked residents, businesses, and visitors for their patience and support throughout this project.
Paving Planned For This Summer
Lane restrictions are likely this summer when the thoroughfare receives a milling and new topcoat by INDOT. Pavement markings will be added once resurfacing is completed.
