Indianapolis Power & Light Company defers disconnection for non-payment<\/h1>\n

March 14, 2020<\/i><\/p>\n

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. <\/b>\u2013 Indianapolis Power & Light Company cares about Indianapolis and its surrounding communities and recognizes the impact and stress COVID-19 is causing in people\u2019s daily lives. To help ensure people continue to get the electricity they need, IPL has immediately suspended disconnection for nonpayment until April 15 for residential and business customers. IPL recommends all customers do their best to maintain timely utility bill payments, as they will be responsible to pay all charges associated with usage during this period.<\/p>\n

IPL puts the health and safety of our employees and our customers first. The IPL customer service center, located at 2102 N. Illinois St., is closed to the public due to the continued spread of COVID-19 in Marion County and the surrounding areas. IPL officials are closely monitoring COVID-19 information shared by federal, state and local officials and will notify the public of other changes to our services if warranted.<\/p>\n
