After the pledge of allegiance, the first order of business was the nomination of Town Council President.&nbsp; Dennis Dawes nominated Brian Jessen, the motion was seconded by the newest town council member Travis Tschaenn (representing Ward 5), who replaced outgoing member Sean Benham who did not seek reelection.&nbsp; The nomination received unanimous approval.&nbsp; Dennis Dawes nominated Chris Worley as Town Council Vice President, the motion was seconded by Ashley Bascu.&nbsp;The nomination received unanimous approval.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Brian Jessen made the following Presidential Appointments:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Mike Neal &#8211; Appointment to the Park Board come from three appointing authorities. The Town Council appoints four&nbsp;members, the Brownsburg Public Library appoints one member, and the Brownsburg Community School Corporation appoints one member. The Brownsburg Park Board was established per I.C. 36-10-3. The Code lists the primary function of the Park Board to be establishing and implementing policies and objectives for effective administration and operation of the park and recreation projects, facilities, programs, and services. The Redevelopment Commission is working to ensure the growth of the Town by bridging the gap between where the Town has been and where the Town is going.<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"left\">The Redevelopment Commission is defined and established by Indiana law I.C. 36-7-14-7 and Town Ordinance 31.62. The Redevelopment Commission consists of six&nbsp;board members. A member of the board may not be a member of the Plan Commission.
