Danville –<\/strong> A Hendricks County jury has found Kyle Braun guilty of Attempted Murder and Battery by Bodily Waste following a one-day trial stemming from a brutal 2023 attack on his mother in Brownsburg.<\/p>\n

According to the prosecutor\u2019s office, Braun attacked his mother inside her home on April 24, 2023, stabbing her multiple times and leaving a knife embedded in her head. Despite suffering catastrophic injuries, she survived.<\/p>\n

Braun fled the home and was later found by officers near a wooded area by a pool house. During the subsequent investigation and medical treatment, prosecutors said Braun also intentionally spit on an EMT.<\/p>\n

\u201cKyle Braun tried to murder his own mother,\u201d Hendricks County Prosecutor Loren Delp said. \u201cShe survived\u2014and today, a Hendricks County jury made sure he did not walk away from justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Delp personally prosecuted the case for the State of Indiana.<\/p>\n

Sentencing is scheduled for September 8, 2026.
