In a public message to listeners, Kendall expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as their voice and advocate. \u201cBeing your voice, using my platform to speak up for you, to take on the powerful, the connected, the politicians, has been the greatest honor of my professional life,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

The departure followed his recent several weeks unexplained absence from the show, which spurred listener questions, support and reaction. Kendall said he was \u201cmoved by the outcry\u201d from those who pushed for the show to continue, suggesting the decision may have surprised members of the audience. However, no specific reason for the exit was disclosed.<\/p>\n

Those seeking answers were directed to Urban One, the station\u2019s parent company. As of now, no public explanation has accompanied the announcement.<\/p>\n

During his tenure, he credited loyal listeners for strong ratings and for backing advertisers connected to the program \u2014 a relationship he said created an \u201cunbreakable bond.\u201d Despite the farewell, the message struck a forward-looking tone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have some amazing things coming soon,\u201d Kendall wrote, adding that the connection with listeners is \u201cso much bigger than any singular platform or frequency.\u201d<\/p>\n

While details about the next chapter remain under wraps, the hint of future opportunities signals this may not be the last time Central Indiana hears from the veteran broadcaster.<\/p>\n

For WIBC, the departure marks a notable programming change. For listeners, it closes a significant era \u2014 but may also signal the beginning of a new one.<\/p>\n

\nHard to tolerate the frequent pfizer&cdc commercials and the obnoxious self-obsessed rambling hosts. More Denny Smith and Gun Guy type shows would lure me back, and to cover local politics in a manner that doesn’t grate the nerves.<\/div>\n
