Brownsburg – <\/strong>
\nLabcorp, a global provider of laboratory services, announced plans for a new, purpose-built Central Laboratory Services (CLS) facility in Brownsburg that will significantly expand its operations in central Indiana.<\/p>\n

The multi-year project calls for a new high-tech campus that will transition operations from Labcorp\u2019s current Indianapolis CLS site and expand overall capacity. Company officials said the investment is intended to support growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance Labcorp\u2019s ability to deliver integrated, technology-driven laboratory services worldwide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis expansion marks an exciting new chapter for Labcorp\u2019s Central Laboratories Services,\u201d said Megan Bailey, executive vice president and president of Central Laboratory Services and International for Labcorp. \u201cWe\u2019re investing in capabilities and resources to advance science, drive innovation and scale our operations to meet customer demand.\u201d<\/p>\n

The planned 50-acre campus in Brownsburg will include more than 500,000 square feet of laboratory,  production and corporate space, representing a 40 percent increase over the company\u2019s current Indianapolis footprint. The facility will house CLS laboratories, kit production operations, bioanalytical services, and Labcorp\u2019s Indianapolis Diagnostics branch. <\/p>\n

According to the company, the site will be designed to support scalability and innovation, incorporating advanced infrastructure, automation, data analytics, and smart lab technologies to accelerate drug development and deliver faster clinical insights.<\/p>\n

Labcorp\u2019s Central Laboratory Services division supports clinical trials globally. Over the past five years, the company has supported more than 5,000 clinical trial protocols involving patients in more than 100 countries through a network of integrated laboratories located in Indianapolis, Geneva, Singapore, Shanghai, and Kawagoe City, Japan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decision by Labcorp to build their new Central Laboratory Services facility in Brownsburg is a landmark moment for our community,\u201d said Town Council President Ben Lacey. \u201cWe are proud to partner with a company dedicated to improving lives for people around the world. The innovative work that will happen at this facility will create significant job opportunities and positions Brownsburg as a hub for life science and healthcare development.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indiana Governor Mike Braun praised the investment, citing its economic impact on the state. \u201cLife sciences are growing as an important sector of the Indiana economy, and this significant investment by Labcorp is an exciting new development in that story that will create additional well-paying jobs,\u201d Braun said.<\/p>\n

Labcorp selected Brownsburg for its proximity to major highways, Indianapolis International Airport, downtown Indianapolis, and key distribution centers. The site is located approximately six miles from the company\u2019s current Indianapolis facility.<\/p>\n

By the Numbers<\/strong>
\n\u2022 1,776 jobs relocating to Brownsburg, with an average hourly wage of $40.71
\n\u2022  More than 300 new jobs expected to be created over the coming years, with an average hourly wage of $45.90<\/p>\n

Brownsburg Town Manager Deb Cook said during an Oct. 16, 2025 Economic Development Commission meeting that the $435 million investment exceeds the total value of all commercial and industrial projects undertaken in the town during 2024.<\/p>\n

Construction is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with completion targeted for early 2030.<\/p>\n
