After a few brief words from Parks Director Amber Lane and Assistant Town Manager Shawn Pabst, a ribbon cutting kicked off the official on time opening of the Williams Park Splash Pad. <\/p>\n

The splash pad closed since 2023<\/a><\/span>, underwent a total reconstruction, few items were carried over from the original park design.  The new design expanded the play area to over 3,100 square feet, additional play features, a new tipping bucket replaced the water wheel. New picnic areas with umbrellas provide additional shade for visitors, and shade sails surround the play space.<\/p>\n

Infrastructure improvements designed to reduce operating costs and increase longevity include a larger pump house, upgraded surface and sub surface drainage, sand and UV filters and underground cistern. Existing waterlines from the pump house to water features were replaced to improve performance and longevity. <\/p>\n

The zero-depth splash pad offers more than 30 elements, and is free and open to the public. Open daily (except Tuesday) from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. until September 1st.<\/p>\n

The splash pad will be closed on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to permit routine maintenance. On Tuesday’s pad will be open to the public from 3:30-8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The splash pad is located at the rear of Williams Park, 940 South Locust Lane.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
